Strandwalfestival

Strandwalfestival is a 3-days festival in Rijswijk with music, dance performances, workshops, exhibitions and more. I made the visual identity for this festival.

The name ‘Strandwalfestival’ comes from the place where the festival is located. Many years ago a ‘Strandwal’ (‘beach ridge) had originated there, caused by waves, the tides and sandbanks raised by sedimentation by the sea.

I created three typographic logos whereby Strandwalfestival is written in different ways, so it can be used for different dimensions. The extra layer in this identity is the ‘^’ that symbolises the ‘Strandwal’. The colors are festive and the green comes from Rijswijk, being a green city.
